Condos- don’t you just love them?
Okay, I’m from [tag-ice]Nashville[/tag-ice] and I’m very familiar with the subjects of this Wall Street Journal article, At Hip Condos, Animal House Meets the Empty Nest.
It’s all about single hipsters moving downtown where the action supposedly is.
As I’ve said before hardly anybody has lived on the other side of the reservoir since the War (Civil War), so it’s quite a novelty- for now.
But the attitude of some of the younger residents really gets to me. I love the comments by the young man from Baltimore who stated living in the suburbs was killing him socially.
So what does he do? Moves into an updated hospital.
Maybe I’m getting older, but that’s not my idea of a fun, hip place to live.
However, one word of caution to the younger folks. Don’t underestimate the power of the 40 and 50 somethings. If they want to take over a [tag-tec]condo board[/tag-tec], they can, and they probably will.
