Bigger Pockets has a good post on why we should be careful with guru advice. This is a subject we keep coming back to because there are a lot of charlatans out there who could steer us wrong.
If we are armed with the facts, we won’t fall for the fakes.
One of the major points of the post is to get everything in writing. This is particularly important if you want mentoring advice and you will be doing some dog work in return for guidance.
As always, I think the reader comments are where the real gold is. Read them and see what experiences some people have had.
