The news about abandoned pets due to foreclosures shows how desperate some distressed homeowners are getting.
I’ve always heard earthquakes could almost be predicted by the number of pet disappearances. Are those poor pitiful pooches and cats trying to tell us something about the current real estate markets and foreclosures?
Perhaps as we gage these markets we only need to glimpse inside overcrowded animal shelters. That may tell us a lot about what’s going on in real estate right now.
As landlords we can certainly sympathize with the real estate investors who got the foreclosed house with the 21 dead Great Danes or the one with the 63 cats in Cincinnati.
But who would have ever thought a website like ForeclosureCats.org would pop up?
