Will the foreclosure bailout bill pass?

Will it affect our taxes?

Why should the government bail out distressed homeowners in the first place?  Is that what government does?

These are important questions asked by some of us who are somewhat conservative real estate investors. 

We didn’t go crazy during the last boom.  We didn’t over extend our investments. 

Is it really our responsibility to bail out distressed homeowners who got in over their heads?
