The costs for Fannie and Freddie’s bailout continue to mount up and now affordable housing is on the losing end.
They’re an expensive couple, that’s for sure.
Here’s the latest.
Fannie and Freddie were required by the government to spend some of their profits on affordable housing.
Well, guess what?
Since they don’t have a profit any more guess who will be paying more for affordable housing?
But here’s the twist. Why doesn’t the government get smart and sub out more affordable housing to the people who know how to be successful in real estate?
That would be landlords, rehabbers and real estate investors.
And dare I say this?
While they’re at it, do you suppose they could have some discussions with certain Section 8 inspectors to make sure the inspection process runs a little smoother?
